I just ran a scan on a client’s website, and saw this warning:

[Sep 22 13:42:57] Warning: fopen(/home/content/p3pnexwpnas10_data03/10/2819010/html/wp-content/plugins/js_composer/js_composer.php): failed to open stream: No such file or directory in /home/content/p3pnexwpnas10_data03/10/2819010/html/wp-includes/functions.php on line 4305 Warning: fread() expects parameter 1 to be resource, boolean given in /home/content/p3pnexwpnas10_data03/10/2819010/html/wp-includes/functions.php on line 4308 Warning: fclose() expects parameter 1 to be resource, boolean given in /home/content/p3pnexwpnas10_data03/10/2819010/html/wp-includes/functions.php on line 4311 0

I don’t understand what it means. ?? How do I fix it?

    Thank you!

If you run another scan, does the message still appear? It might be that the file was changed while the scan was running, like if you have automatic updates for plugins enabled. I think that is a premium plugin, so it might have its own automatic update feature, but I don’t know for sure.

If you still get the error, can you see if that file does exist, by using FTP or SSH? And if it does, do the permissions let your account read it?

Thank you for the quick response.

I did run another scan and I got the same result & warning.

I contacted the developer of the template, which I purchased on Envato (that plugin was part of the bundle) and this is what he said:

The Visual Composer plugin is throwing that error. I really can’t do anything about 3rd party plugins. The theme before it was approved for sale went through a very strict process to make sure it was secure. In fact themes won’t get approved without these strict tests.

Do I just ignore the warning? How do I check my FTP permissions for reading files?

It depends on which FTP client you are using, but usually right-clicking on a file will have an option like Properties, Details, or something similar. Some FTP clients might have a button on a toolbar instead.

There are sometimes problems with plugins bundled with themes, since they’re installed in an unexpected place. If the plugin and Wordfence are working ok otherwise, it should be ok to ignore the warning.

Thank you very much for replying!

Yes, the theme, the the Visual Composer, and Wordfence are working fine, so I’ll just ignore it.

    Thank you for you help!
