    Hi!

First of all, thank you for a great plugin. ??

I’m using it on a few website without problems. On one of these websites, I’m getting following error on the PhastPress settings page:

“WARNING: Image optimization API error: Request exception: Requests_Exception MSG: cURL error 28: Connection timed out after 10000 milliseconds Code: 0”

I tried to rollback to previous plugin version and increase PHP max_execution_time, but it didn’t work.

The page I need help with: [log in to see the link]

    Hi @gotosleep,

    Thanks for trying out PhastPress.

There is a connection problem between your server and the PhastPress image optimization API. Maybe there’s a firewall on your server that disallows outgoing connections.

Perhaps you could ask your hoster or system administrator if there’s a firewall that prevents outgoing connections?

Could you please send me image optimization API IP address?

The server has a strong security solutions and WAF. We will try to add the IP address to white-list.

    Hi @gotosleep,

At the moment this is 94.237.89.160. If possible, you can whitelist the hostname optimize.phast.io. This will prevent issues if the IP address changes in future.

Your server is saved in the database as “Dangerous” because of past bruteforce attacks.

Those attacks were made from the above mentioned IP address in August 2019.

    94.237.89.160 # lfd: (wpbrute) wp-login.php bruteforce 94.237.89.160 (DE/Germany/94-237-89-160.de-fra1.upcloud.host): 2 in the last 10800 secs – Thu Aug 15 11:22:23 2019

Good to know that this IP address is blocked by default by almost all LiteSpeed servers that are using WAF.

    Hi @gotosleep,

Thanks for reporting that. We’ve only used this IP address since March 6, 2020, so those attacks were from earlier users of the same address. I’d suggest whitelisting the IP, if you haven’t done so yet.

I’d like to have this IP address removed from the default blacklist, but can’t find any information about this blocklist on the internet. If you have information about this, please let me know.

    –Albert
