problem with google
-
SNAP itself is great plugin (if you use your head) but its default settings will bring duplicate content penalty for you in Google.
I got banned like that already.
Also im suprised this wasnt fixed already.
SNAP default settings for example for tumblr.com include “
%FULLTEXT%
” which will literally copy your WHOLE post to tumblr.com or other sites.
Now, tumblr has more domain authority, and google is not very good at telling who is the author, so the site with bigger authority wins, other get banned for 100% duplicate content.
i spotted it years ago.
when i got ban for duplicate content, google literally listed me sites that were created only by Snap.
To admins and users:
remove that
%FULLTEXT%
from default settingsGreetings
