    I have this warning in top dashboard:

    XML Sitemap & Google News

    The WordPress SEO XML Sitemap is not compatible with XML Sitemap & Google News. Please either disable the XML Sitemap under Site features in your SEO settings or disable the option XML Sitemap Index on Reading Settings.

    Warning in yoast seo:

    We have detected the following issues that affect the SEO of your site.

    The XML Sitemap & Google News plugin might cause issues when used in conjunction with Yoast SEO.

    Both Yoast SEO and XML Sitemap & Google News can create XML sitemaps. Having two XML sitemaps is not beneficial for search engines and might slow down your site.

    Toggle Yoast SEO’s XML Sitemap

    Deactivate XML Sitemap & Google News

    DOES THIS PLUGIN COMFLICT WITH YOAST SEO?

  • Hi, there is no real conflict in the sense that there is something broken but it is pointless to have two plugins doing the same thing. Hence the suggestion to turn off the XML Sitemap option in either the Yoast settings or my plugin settings (the main option on Settings > Reading).

    If you wish, you can always use the Yoast sitemap and the Google News sitemap from my plugin together.
