Warning: Folder is not readable

I’m having similar problem!!!!!!

I’m having a similar problem. See log below. The two files referred to in the warning…I can’t even find them in the directory.
WARNING: File “/var/www/html/.Xauthority” is not readable!
WARNING: File “/var/www/html/.bash_history” is not readable!

How can I “create” or get these files? I know I’m using an older version of BackWPUp Free, but I’m reluctant to upgrade as I’m seeing that users of 3.1.1 are having similar problem.

BTW, I just took over this website. The previous webmaster left the company 3 months ago, and no backups have been saved since just before he left.

Also, I don’t understand why the log says the backup completed with warnings, but no files were archived. I need help please ASAP!

it took me awhile, and I had to use SSH to find the .Xauthority and .bash_history files, but I found them and was able to change the permissions. Now the backup runs without errors or warnings.

Please give us exact information for an solution.
