Updated Wordfence manually, and got this message:

Warning: Error while sending QUERY packet. PID=1024307 in /home/lifestyy/public_html/wp-includes/wp-db.php on line 1924

Is this a significant issue or “just one of those things”

The page I need help with: [log in to see the link]

Just included the PID info in the tags setting here

    Hi @mistral7-wporg,

I think it might be due to your MySQL settings.

Can you edit your my.ini (found within your MySQL installation), and change this line?

    [mysqld]
    max_allowed_packet = 256M

It should be under the [mysqld] heading.

    Hi @wfdave

    Appreciate your response.

I am at a loss in locating the my.ini file.

cpanel does not show anything in the database area other than mysql databases and wizard, remote MySQL, Postgresql databases, Postgresql databases wizard, and PHPMyAdmin. Have tried opening the other links in the database area but no help.

Do I need to contact ISP for assistance?

    Regards

    Ken

If you don’t have access to /etc/mysql/my.cnf (unix) or my.ini (windows), you will need to ask your host for assistance.

Let them know that the setting for max_allowed_packet is currently too low and request that it be changed to something higher.

    Hi @mistral7-wporg,

We haven’t heard back from you in a while. I’ve gone ahead and marked this thread as resolved.

Please feel free to open another thread if you’re still having issues with Wordfence.

    Thanks!
