Hi Jason, do you know when a new update is coming? I just reverted back to an older version until this one is fixed.

@questionabout, we pushed an update two days ago, can you try to upgrade again and see what happens?

It did… I disabled the old non-working plugin originally (renaming folder) and installed a new one with older version, now when I updated the plugin all is working fine, but I made a mistake and decided to delete the “non-working” plugin that I renamed, and wordpress deleted all the slim-stat database. Learn & live I guess ??

@questionabout great to hear that everything is working as expected now. Sorry about the data, however when you uninstall the plugin, it clearly warns you that the files AND THE DATA will be deleted. If you do have a backup, we can help you restore your data from there.

So for those of us who encountered the same problem, and used brute force means to disable the plugin but have not deleted, what is the recommended recovery?

@jbenni, simply delete browscap-db.php from wp-content/plugins/wp-slimstat/browscap/ and you should be good to go. Again, it doesn’t hurt to reiterate that UNINSTALLING Slimstat will also delete all the data it has been collected so far. Deleting just the files via FTP will not have any impact on the data.
