I just installed wordfence. It was working fine and suddenly it started throwing the following error at the top:

Warning: Creating default object from empty value in /home/$$$$$$/public_html/wp-content/plugins/js_composer/include/classes/updaters/class-vc-updating-manager.php on line 119 Notice: Undefined property: stdClass::$sections in /home/$$$$$$/public_html/wp-content/plugins/js_composer/include/classes/updaters/class-vc-updating-manager.php on line 120 0

I don’t know whether this is something to be concerned about or what? Is wordfence still working or what? Why is this error there??

Please can someone assist me? Thanks in advance.

  • Hi @bluesteam,

The warning you’re seeing is related to the js_composer plugin.

The reason why you see it after installing Wordfence is because among many other things our scans check if a given plugin needs an update.

In this case, it appears that the plugin’s update function is somehow broken. So when the scan checks if it needs an update, it triggers the error.

I suggest you contact the plugin authors to get a new version of the plugin (which you might have to install manually)
