This happens more times than not when you have a bad plugin.

If you have access to the admin, disable all plugins and check for the error. If the error is gone, re enable each plugin one at a time until the error comes back. This will help you find the bad plugin.

If you do not have access to the admin, you can rename the plugins directly via FTP. I found this to be pretty interesting. https://www.wpbeginner.com/plugins/how-to-deactivate-all-plugins-when-not-able-to-access-wp-admin/

ok I can only ftp in. I did try renaming a few of the newer plugins but that did not work. I guess I need to do all of them.

ok I renamed every plugin, including even Aksimet and I get the same error. Tried a new browser too. Do you get the same error. I am using a standard theme too. I think it is 2015

Anyone else have a suggestion?

RESOLVED: I took out the extra white spacing on the class-wp-rewrite.php before the beginning < and after the last }
