Warning: Attempt to read property “content” on null in /wp-conte

  • Just noticed (cos I usually have PHP errors switched off) get a weird error when I open a post from a social media link which seems to be a Gutenberg Plugin issue, as that’s what’s kicking out the warning:

    Warning: Attempt to read property “content” on null in?/wp-content/plugins/gutenberg/build/block-library/blocks/template-part.php?on line?72

    Any idea?

  • Hi @timbearcub ! Can you share some more details about your version of WordPress, Gutenberg plugin, and whether you have any other plugins installed? It would also help if you’re able to test with just the Gutenberg plugin, with one of the default themes. You can do this with the Health check plugin.

    If you can install plugins, install and activate Health Check. It will add some additional features under the menu item under Tools > Site Health.

    On its troubleshooting tab, you can Enable Troubleshooting Mode. This will disable all plugins, switch to a standard WordPress theme (if available), allow you to turn your plugins on and off and switch between themes, without affecting normal visitors to your site. This allows you to test for various compatibility issues.
