Warning and Error messages when backup to FTP

    BackWPUp used to work fine. We had weekly backups to FTP on another server running.

    However, over the last few weeks, it has stopped being able to make backups. There have been no changes to our website or the FTP server being backed up to.

    The error messages given are:

    “WARNING: ftp_nb_fput(): php_connect_nonb() failed: Operation now in progress (115)”

    “WARNING: ftp_nb_fput(): Entering Passive Mode (192,232,218,212,144,87)”

    Once it tries a few times, it fails and gives the following on the last line of the log:

    “ERROR: Job has ended with errors in 2153 seconds. You must resolve the errors for correct execution.”

    We’ve spent a lot of time checking and trying to make the back-ups to work.

    Why have the back-ups stopped working and what specific steps can we take to resolve the issues please?

    Hello @azaminfo
    Did you enabled FTP Passive Mode in your job -> to:FTP tab setting?
    You also can play around with other configurations there too to check if it works since the issue is usually caused by your FTP server accept connection in passive mode and have a security firewall enabled.
    You also can contact the hoster and ask them for support too since this is likely caused by the FTP server.

    Thank you very much indeed for your reply.

    Yes, we have tried different options on that tab in the plugin.

    We have tried switching the following features on and off, in different combinations:

    “Use FTP Passive Mode.”

    “Use explicit SSL-FTP connection.”

    However, we get the same FTP errors.

    We have also tried setting up the FTP again several times etc.

    We use other backup services and don’t suffer these FTP errors with them.

    Any suggestions what we could do please?

    Tried FTP backup with the new version of the plugin.

    Getting a lot of effort messages which state:

    “WARNING: Packets out of order. Expected 1 received 0. Packet size=145”

    Logs ending with:

    “WARNING: Job finished with warnings in 13410 seconds. Please resolve them for correct execution.”

    Other back-up plugins are working without a problem, but with this one we are suffering these bugs.
