I have changed from PHP 8.0 to 7.4 and the error disappears. It seems to be a PHP version issue with the plugin.

The only problem that doesn’t go away is the icon that still doesn’t appear in the admin bar next to the number indicator that the insecurity plug-in detects.

    Hi @sergialarconrecio

Jetpack Protect is compatible with PHP 8.

I see that your site is behind Cloudflare (a CDN and DDoS protection service), which may be contributing to this issue.

Could you try pausing Cloudflare as described here, please?

The steps here will help to ensure that your site is optimized to work well with Cloudflare.

After you’ve made the changes, try again to see if the issue persists.

I’ve tried what you told me, and it’s still the same. That is why it is a problem of the plug-in, not of anything else, because if it were Cloudflare where I put the version of PHP that I put, the error would continue to appear and for example in PHP 7.4 and in older versions the error does not appear and with Cloudflare activated. It is a problem of the programming of the plug-in that it must not be well programmed so that some function is compatible in PHP 8.0 and later.

    Comment also another problem.

`It is the icon that does not yet appear in the admin bar next to the number indicator that the insecurity plugin detects.

I leave a screenshot and a video so that what I comment can be seen well.

    Hi there,

We have handled your issue via email. The first issue has been resolved after switching from PHP 8.0 to 7.4.

For the second issue which is icon related, we have found the bug, and should be fixed in the next release.

Since we are handling your issue via email and replied to all these things there, I’m marking the issue here as solved and if you have any further questions, you can reply to us back over email. ??

    Hi
Can you tell what is the fix for PHP 8.1? Downgrade PHP version is not a reliable solution.

Here’s the error that’s appears whenever jetpack-protect is enable
