    Hi,

I will keep this brief, and if more information is needed, I’m happy to provide it.

Here’s my problem: I have installed WP, and it is working great when I go to URL: loofamily.us/wordpress I would like to make the static page from the above URL come up when entering “loofamily.us” in the browser (without the /wordpress). I have read a ga-zillion posts about how to do this, and I’ve followed the documented step-by-step instructions, but I can not get it to work for me.

Here are some details about my installation:

wordpress is installed at root (./wordpress)
document root is /homepages/35/d224833277 (not sure if this is related to the problem, it’s automatically assigned by my ISP–1and1.com)
wordpress admin >> options >> general wordpress address (URL) is https://www.loofamily.us/wordpress, blog address (URL) is https://www.loofamily.us/wordress.

I tried removing /wordpress from the blog address (per instructions), and changing the index.php line: require(‘./wp-blog-header.php’) to (‘./wordpress/wp-blog-header.php’) and that didn’t seem to work.

Not sure if this is important, but I already have an index.html installed in my root directory, and I tried removing that, but that also didn’t seem to fix it.

At this point, I don’t know what else to look at. I’m very new to this, so this is likely a problem I can not resolve because of my inexperience.

    I greatly appreciate your help!
