    Hello team,

Would appreciate your help here. I have a 2nd wordpress installation under a sub-folder ‘bazaar’ (domain.com/bazaar), which in installed as a multisite.

Now i want to retain the sub-folder installation as it has lots of data and convert it into a stand-alone installation. I have done forum reading and per that have undone the wp-config.php and .htaccess changes.

However, i am not clear about the table deletion mentioned earlier? Is this referring to those multisite specific db tables to be deleted from the parent wordpress installation?

    regards,
    parag

There are some basic instructions for migrating from a site within a multisite install to a single site:https://www.wpbeginner.com/wp-tutorials/how-to-move-a-site-from-wordpress-multisite-to-single-install/

If you have data or other things you are trying to preserve, you may be able to do that you’re a more sophisticated migration. While not officially supported, BackupBuddy does allow for a single site within the multisite install to be exported (backedup) in such a way that it can be stored as a single site. Depending on what data you are trying to preserve, this may be a better solution for you – even though it is a premium plugin.

When you convert a multisite install down to a single install, I’m pretty sure it’s only the main site that remains. It sounds like you are trying to save/preserve one of the subsites. Until you have standalone site for that subsite created and working, I wouldn’t delete any database tables.

Can you say more about what data you are trying to preserve?

Hello Bet, thanks so much for your response. I wanted to convert the sub-folder installation back to a stand-alone one. I then managed to do it by undoing the .htaccess and wpconfig.php changes correctly. In my earlier attempts my reversal was not accurate.
Now my sub-folder installation is a stand-alone installation again.
Thanks for your help & support.

    regards,
