Want to know more about blog carnivals

I’m excited about my blog, The Michael Corner, but always looking for ways to increase traffic. I’ve never tried the blog carnival route I sometimes hear about. Would appreciate hearing success stories and any advice on how to go about it or where to sign up for it. Thought I’d start with you experts out there . . .
