Want to hide end date on event list and single event

Hi,

I’ve been searching the forums for days and cannot figure out how to hide the end date view for an event. If I have an event that goes from 9pm to midnight, it has to be entered as running across two days. I don’t mind having to enter it across two days but I would like only the start date to show for the event. Such as:

3/2/2015
9pm to 12am

Currently it shows as:
3/2/2015 to 3/3/2015
9:00pm to 12:00am

There has to be a way but right now my head is spinning. Any assistance you can offer is appreciated..
