    Hi,
We have a little issue with customer coming to our page and wants to leave a review (on the grey tab below the product description, see link). We are Captcha on the review section, and it does not show when there is a cache on the page (only shows if using incognito browser or first time visit to the page). I got the advice from the WP Security crew that we should stable cache on product pages. Perhaps this is the only solution, however I guess the speed of the page will then be suffering (as we have quite many pictures on many of our products).
I searched this support forum, and I see some other threads recommend that you exclude products pages by adding the specific location like /vindskydd/ or similar to exclude the categories (sadly we can not put “products” as it is not so simple the link structure) in the advanced section of the WP Cache. Is this the best solution?
Or are there other alternatives I could think of/try to use? Ideally we would like to have the cache on the product pages of course but still customer coming back to the product to leave their review could do so and see the mandatory Captach to fill out (if cache, they do not see it, and get error message because they hav not filled out correct Captcha).
Many thanks in advance for your help!
    Best regards, Peter

  • Hi there,

Unfortunately, the best solution to this issue would be to exclude the product pages from caching. You can do this by adding the specific location (e.g., /vindskydd/) to the “Rejected URIs” section.

It’s important to consider the trade-off between website speed and functionality. If you find that the exclusion of product pages from caching results in a significant decrease in speed, you can consider using a content delivery network (CDN) or optimizing your images to improve page load time.

You can use a tool like Jetpack Boost’s Image Guide to find images that could use some optimization. Lazy loading images might also help speed things up.

In general, it’s recommended to exclude pages with dynamic content and cookies from page caching.

    Hi Daniel,
Great thank you, I think I will continue as you propose, to try and reject some pages from cache, and possibly lazy load the pictures. Many thanks for your advices.
    Best regards, Peter
