Want to backup but am not the owner.

  • I’m the translator of a site and I want to install qtranslate to it.
    But since I’m not used to it I’d like to make a backup, they’d kill me if anything went wrong.
    The problem is: when I go to export, it gives me a file lacking some of our posts, and its size varies a bit, even though nobody changed anything.
    So I have installed a backup plugin, but it saves the plugin to the owner’s computer, and ONLY after that I can download it through my e-mail account.

    Is there any way I can download the backup directly? I’d not like to save the update to his computer first if I won’t be able to delete it.
