Want Product Addon to calculate as a fixed fee once per order, not per product.

    Hi! I have a question regarding the Booster Product Addon tool.

    I want the product addon on my site to be applied once per order, not applied to each product. Right now the product addon is being applied to each product in the cart giving the wrong total amount.

    E.g. If the order is for 5 X 1$ apples and a $5 (product addon) handling fee, the total should be $10. But instead, it is calculating $1 apple + $5 handling fee, and then multiplying it by the number of apples ($6 x 5 apples).

    I have adjusted the quantity settings. (if you leave it blank, it is not supposed to calculate the total), but nothing seems to be working. I have tried inputting 1 which gives the same result, as well as 0, which disables the addon. Help would be appreciated. Thanks.

    Hi Travis,

    Unfortunately this cannot be achieved with product addons module because of how Woocommerce handles multiple products, however there are “Custom Checkout Fields” and “Checkout Fees” modules in Booster. Using both of them you can achieve that if some product is in cart, then new field (e.g. checkbox) is added to the checkout page and if that checkbox is selected – fee is added to the cart. So basically it’s what you need, but instead “addon” being on single product page, it’s displayed on checkout page.
