I want ‘Filed Under’ to traverse up my categories until getting to the top level, showing a link to each category and subcategory, much like a breadcrumb. Something like:

Filed Under: Main Blog > Main Category > Sub Category > SubSub Category

How can I do this? I have found 3 “breadcrumb” pluggins, but none of them will actually display a trail of the categories the post is in… they all just show like: Home: Category > Post

But only the category the post is directly in, if they will even go that far. This seems fairly useless. I want my breadcrumb to mirror the URL basically… /cat/cat/cat/cat/post.htm

    Any help?

nothing? there have got to be other people wanting to do this as well.

I am also using the pluggin Add Meta Tags. This uses the category for the keywords. It would be nice if it would display not just the category, but also the parent of the category, and so on until reaching the root category.

I also am trying to do this.
I found this swell plugin: https://www.thedevproject.com/projects/wordpress-breadcrumb-plugin/ but it doesn’t quite accomplish the task I’m looking for.
Which is to grab ALL the parent categories of the article instead of just the current cat and the blog root.
