WangGuard Hangs on most operations

in the WangGuard User Panel using the whitelist function, splogger function or the bulk edit function to do either, results in a hang? I’ve waited on it for a long time and it just says waiting on the domain name in the lower left.

also, strangely this hang is locked on the page. I cannot refresh the page, cannot click any links, can’t stop loading the page. If I close the tab, I can’t reopen my website on any page or link. I have to restart FF to go back to my website. other browsers and computers are still able to view the site during these episodes.

Is this a conflict? I’m using WordPress latest and Buddypres latest.
