    Hi all,

I have a bit of an annoying problem with my URL paths and I was hoping someone could point me into the right direction.
I am not a profesional developer, so I always have to get into it again when updating my site so sorry if it comes across as a stupid question.

What I have done is install a plugin called Duplicator Pro to package my site and install it locally using WAMP.
Now everything works fine except for certain filepaths.
    Livelink looks like:
    https://www.mywebsite.com/wp-content/uploads/year/month/filename.png

I use a Themify theme which has this front end builder thing, through which I normally can populate a site very quickly and very easy, were it not for the fact that it creates these funky urls:
    https://localhost/mywebsite/C:/wamp64/wwww/mywebsite/wp-content/uploads/year/month/filename.png

While it should just simply be:
    https://localhost/mywebsite/wp-content/uploads/year/month/filename.png

Now at this point I am unsure whether it is the Duplicator process, something with the Theme or simply something I can fix from within WordPress.
I have opened a support case with the people from the theme as well as the duplicator plugin, hoping it will clear things up… and now I am posting it here, hoping someone can point me into the right direction… as although it may be a silly problem to have it has been driving me bonkers all weekend ;).

Thanks in advance for the help!!!

  • I suggest going into settings and re-selecting and saving the permalinks and menus. This refreshes the file paths in the database.

Thanks for the suggestion, unfortunately it didn’t do anything and it keeps this annoying file path structure.

    Found it!
When using Duplicator Pro when you are at the 3rd step it automatically fills in your physical directory C:/wamp64/etc etc etc.
I simply deleted that entire string and replaced it with /myprojectname…and it worked!

Addition to this …you need to remove the entire path as otherwise it will create a directory
