Waiting Plugin

Hello
I am so new to WP that I just know how to download the Waiting Plugin.I went to the editor area but do not know where to add the short note
[waiting name=”downtown”]
for it to be functional on the main page, in the Center, not the side bar in the widget. I am trying to remove the widget.
Can you please help.? ??
