    Hello

I have been using this plugin for a long time with great success but there are certain situations where it cannot be used.

For example some office proxy servers block access to all social media related sites, including oneall.com therefore facebook etc cannot be used to login to the wordpress blog even with Social Login plugin installed. You need to login manually with a local username and password instead.

This is fine, but there are two small issues:

    1) It takes a very long time for the Social Login plugin to realize that oneall is not reachable and timeout. Seems to be as large as 60 seconds or so. Is there a way to reduce this timeout period?

    2) Even after logging in with a local username/password, it seems that the Social Login plugin still tries to access oneall.com when you click on different pages. This causes for huge delays in loading the page. Is there a way to disable social login attempts after you’ve logged in as a local user?

    Thank you

  • Hi demon11c,

in the next version of the plugin you will be able to use asyonchronous JavaScript. This will solve the timeout issues.

We are also working on only including the library where necessary.

You can download the next version here if you want to give it a try.

    All the best

Hi, sorry I spoke too soon. It doesnt look like it’s resolved. It’s taking minutes for my pages to come up when oneall is blocked.

Are there any settings I need to change with the new version?

    Thanks

Please make sure that you have enabled this option in your WP admin:

Social Login -> Setup -> JavaScript Usage: Asynchronous

If this option is enabled, then the JavaScript of the plugin is loaded asynchronously and it will never interfere with the loading of the page itself.

Thanks. Yes, that seems to work now.
