W3Total Cache breaks WPTouch and OpenGraph settings of SEO plugin

1 – Go to the WP Touch settings page
2 – Copy all the agents shown, paste in Notepad and edit the list so there is one agent per line (delete the commas)
3 – Paste that list in the “Rejected user agents:” field in the Page cache, Minify and CDN (if used) tabs of W3CTC settings page
4 – Go to “User agent groups” of W3CTC settings, paste the list in the “USer agents” field of the “low” group (it should be the second one), delete duplicates and save settings.

WPTouch should be working by now. Note: After modifying Page cache options W3CTC will try to edit your .htaccess; in my case I had to edit it by hand.

that worked marvelously well… Thank you. So WPTouch is working with W3Total Cache. Let’s hope the OpenGraph issue is addressed as well by someone.

By the way, the FV Community News plugin is breaking apart jQuery, which can’t be loaded. This means that opening the menu and loading more entries in WPTouch isn’t working either. Unfortunately, the plugin author is not responding. Do you know a workaround as well? You can find the original ticket on the wordpress support pages.

Sorry, I don’t use that plugin (FV Community News), therefore I don’t know how to fix it. ??

No worries, thanks anyway. In the meanwhile I enabled the W3Total Cache again. I hope the OpenGraph issue will be fixed soon.

Did you update or installed fresh with no existing options? The OpenGraph and WP Touch should be functioning out of the box on a clean install.

Anytime caching plugins are used, you’ll want to optimize them for use with mobile sites (so they don’t serve mismatched themes to devices).

For reference, you may configure your caching plugin not to cache mobile pages nor to serve cached pages when mobile devices are detected. To do so, enter the user agents found under Advanced Options > Custom User-Agents to the “rejected user agents” areas in your caching plugin’s settings. Remember to clear your plugin, browser, and device caches before retesting.

I wa having issues and tried the solution and it crashed my site 500 error – my other sites are fine. NOow I have to go and manually uninstall – grrr

I have just followed the above steps to get wp touch working correctly with wp total cache and now i cant even access my site at all, It is coming up with a 500 internal server error? Please help as my site has been down for hours and i am losing views and in turn business.
