W3TC Works Smoothly with FAST Support! Static HTML loads from APCu RAM Memory
-
I’ve tested a lot of cache plugins in search for the most functional one, with advanced features, and easy installation. W3TC was it for me.
Setting up cache is not naturally simple, but the W3TC plugin gave me feedback through clear ERROR messages of what was missing and most importantly, HOW to fix it.
What I would like to see is a little more explanation of the WHY. As a developer, it helps to understand the necessity of each step for the overall system to work.
Whenever I was stuck or confused, the support forum helped me within 24 hours with detailed answers. It was incredible.
A big reason for choosing W3TC over other plugins is the ability to generate pages from PHP and store them as static HTML in the server’s RAM memory (APCu), instead of on the hard drive which sometimes tends to be slower (Disk: Enhanced).
Now here are 2 implementations I would like to see in updated versions of this plugin:
They may be hard to include, but perhaps not impossible:1) I would like W3TC to work with Category Country Aware plugin. The goal is to create and display different cache to different users depending on where their Geo IP location. Ultimately so that a Cookie Notice only shows up for for EU users and not the rest of the world.
2) Next, I am loosing valuable Google Analytics Search Query Data when using W3TC plus Cookie Notice plugin.
Essentially, since google analytics cookies are not loaded until the cookie notice is accepted, anyone that visits from a search engine is seen as a DIRECT visit instead of a SEARCH query visit. I am not sure about the approach to solving this. But I wanted to throw it out there to see if something can be done. Thanks for this AWESOME plugin. Highly recommend it. Keep up the good work. ??
