Hi – delivering my site from IIS 7. I’d like to use this caching plugin as it appears to be the only one to accommodate IIS specific setting (e.g. WinCache etc).

However, I get some really strange behaviours with its vanilla settings. Following scenario:

I clear the browser cache. I then try to navigate to a page: I get a blank page with the first page load. If I press F5, it then loads instantaneously. Furthermore, once I’ve gone through this, all pages then load fine (on second loading). Also, if I navigate from a ‘working’ (I assume cached) to another ‘non-working’ page then I’m frozen on the original page for a while (i.e. gifs freeze) – then it goes blank.

As I say – these are with vanilla settings. IIS/PHP all set up as you’d expect.

I’d be grateful if you could advise.

    Hello @stigzler

Thank you for your inquiry and I am happy to assist you with this.
Can you please share the website URL?
To confirm you only have Page Cache (Disk: Enhanced) and Browser cache options activated in W3 Total Cache?
This is strange behavior indeed. What you are saying indicates that the page, when visited is not being cached until the reload, or some glitch occurs when the page is being cached.
When you try visiting the pages previously visited does the issue occurs again or does the page loads instantly?
    Thanks!

To be honest – I ditched this after I disabled and removed it and it decimated my site causing no end of problems. Good luck to you, but I’ll never recommend this plugin.
