W3TC not allowing wpcf7mailsent DOM events to fire

I have just moved code over from on_sent_ok to DOM events and everything seems to work fine for redirects and Google Analytics event tracking when W3 Total Cache plugin is not activated.
Once activated the form looks to submit but the return URL looks like https://www.somewebsite.com/#wpcf7-f3541-o1 which tells me according to this
https://contactform7.com/faq/after-submission-my-contact-form-redirects/
it tells me the form is submitted in non-AJAX submission mode. Any tips/settings for w3tc to get CF7 (version 4.9.2) dom events working correctly?Again, if I disable W3TC plugin CF7 DOM events operate as expected.
