When I enable w3total cache it prompts a download file when you search my site (www.nilotoys.com).

I’ve disabled the plugin for now as I was losing sales from this happening (people couldn’t reach the homepage).

What is the issue here and how can it be fixed?

    Hello @nilewm

Thank you for reaching out and I am happy to assist you with this.
I’ve visited the website (I can see that W3TC is enabled), and I’ve also searched the website on google, and both times the website opened up successfully, and it hasn’t prompted me to download.
Can you please confirm you are still experiencing the problem?
    Thanks!

It was happening for a few hours yesterday and after messing around with it for quite some time it eventually went back to normal. I didn’t change any settings and did nothing at the point that it started working again. Not sure what the issue was..

The problem happened again yesterday evening until this morning and I lost many sales due to this issue. I turned the plugin off at this point. Do you have any knowledge as to what’s happening? I cannot lose sales and allow my website to be the test dummy.

    Thanks.

    Hello @nilewm

    Thank you for your feedback.
If the website prompts do download.gz, there is a possibility that there is double gzip compression. You should try and disable the Gzip compression in W3 Total Cache – Performance>Browser Cache, save all settings and purge the cache.
    I hope this helps!
    Thanks!
