    Hi,

I am trying to setup Cloud Front in W3TC plugin. My origin in Cloud Front setup(pre configured already) is origin.example.com and my site url is in this format – https://www.example.com. In Performance -> CDN, origin is shown as https://www.example.com instead of origin.example.com. Amazon Cloud Front (Origin Pull) is already selected and saved in General settings of W3TC. How to change the origin from https://www.example.com to origin.example.com in Performance-> CDN ? If its not possible, then should i use Generic Mirror for Cloud Front? If i use Generic Mirror then i will lose out on the invalidation feature from W3TC. Please do assist on this issue.

    Hello @jackhienn

Thank you for your inquiry and I am happy to assist you with this.
You need to use the origin you are currently using. Creating another origin can be used for CDN full site delivery.
Please check our faq for more details and also check this guide for more instructions.
    Thanks!

Thank you for your reply. I think you did not understand my query. The links specified by you are just for basic setup of Cloud Front with W3TC and does not offer any insights into the scenario asked in the query. Before installing W3TC Plugin, i have been already using Cloud Front for years with the following settings:

    ORIGIN – origin.example.com
    Alternate CNAME – https://www.example.com
    Main site URL – https://www.example.com

So now i have installed W3TC, is there a way to configure above Cloud Front setup (already existing) in Performance->CDN->Congfiguration Objects. Your plugin always shows origin as https://www.example.com format only and allows distributions to be created for the same. How to create a distribution for my custom origin and setup W3TC for cloud front so that i can benefit from other features you provide for CDN? Hope you understand my query now.

    Hello @jackhienn

    Thank you for the clarification.
Let me check this and get back to you because this is an uncommon setup. On first thought, I believe that you are referring to the FSD CDN.
I’ll get back to you as soon as I check this.
    Thanks!

    Hello @jackhienn

    Thank you for your patience.
I’ve double-checked this. For the Classic (not Full site deliver CDN) the origin should be https://www.example.com since the Cloudfront is going to take content from your website.
As for the Full site delivery, you can check that in our FAQ.
    Thanks!
