• Does W3TC still not work with a child them when using a CDN? If I switch my site to the parent theme, everything works perfectly on the CDN. When I switch back to the child theme, none of the css or parent theme files show up.

I read a post from 6 years ago saying child themes would be supported soon, but I can’t find anything that says it is currently supported.

I like the ability of this plugin to push to S3 and pull from Cloudfront, but if it doesn’t work with a child theme, then the CDN part is pointless.

    Hello jimbo57

Currently child theme is supported. Which modules you have enabled? Could you please delete cache folder from wp-content and rebuild cache again?

Also, are you using manual mode to minify css?

    Have a good day!

    Cheers

    Hello Ashok,

I am experiencing a similar issue when it comes to trying to use W3TC with CloudFront with my Child Theme. Every time I activate the CDN none of my theme files load. Images load correctly but nothing else. Can you explain the proper way to configure W3TC with CloudFront push and a child theme?

Hi – I am also experiencing this, with child theme, CSS (and therefore, for example, Google fonts) from the child theme are not loading.

If I uncheck “Host theme files” in CDN settings, all loads okay.

Same issues, when using child theme W3TC fails to copy across theme assets, disabling the theme in CDN does remedy the issue as previously stated (but that of course takes out all the fun)

A question was asked previously if we manually compressed/minified items, the answer is yes in my own case I have, ie therefore the CSS/JS minify built-in compilers are disabled in my W3TC config.
