• Following the new laws in Europe governing website cookies, I have been trying to make my site compliant. I have noticed that w3cache downloads a cookie called w3tc_referrer.

Is there anyway of stopping this cookie from downloading or gaining a user’s consent before doing so? If so, how and what would be the effect on the cache functioning?

I have seen one similar question but found no answer. This issue will affect a lot of w3cache users as by law a user’s consent now need to be gained before downloading a cookie right across Europe.

The plugin ‘Cookie control’ is being used by alot of people to gain user consent. It would be fantatic if w3cache could be made to work with this.

Any help would be appreciated – and long live the EU!
