    Hi all!

I just validated my site (yeah, I do that – always!) with https://validator.w3.org/

Now, I managed to get rid of the errors (I had five, now I have none!) – but I have one warning left. Problem is, I cannot get any information on the warning in question. All I see is:

    Passed, 1 warning(s).

Not much help there! If someone could point me to where I can get info on the warning, I’d appreciate it.

    Thanks for reading this,

    HMW666

Correct me if I am wrong; did not the validator use to show information on _both_ errors and warnings in the past?

You are quite right though, here is the link.

    Thanks for replying!

The single warning is because the HTML5 parser is still considered experimental (see further down the page).

…and I wanted to sport the famous valid-icons on the page. *hmmph*

Thanks for the explanation. I appreciate it.

I don’t see why you shouldn’t. The page is valid.

It is, but since the site didn’t give me any of the usual icons, I thought I didn’t deserve them!

    Thanks for you kind words!

I think W3C are just being cautious because the parser is experimental. FWIW, I never use the icons. If the client wants something, I just add a text link “Valid HTML5” with a link to the validator.

You are probably right. I realized there are no icons for html5 yet.
