W3C Validator "No p element in scope but a p end tag seen." on Fukasawa them

Hello, I was using W3C Validator to validate my WordPress site using this theme, But there are 1 error on Post, the error is “No p element in scope but a p end tag seen.”

To solve this I modify the single.php then removing the </p> from <li class=”post-date”>“><?php the_date(get_option(‘date_format’)); ?></p> (Line 113)

Then Revalidate the W3C Validator and the results is passed

Can you please resolve the issue ?
