W3C Validation
-
With a little more work, I believe the HTML code generated by your *great* plugin could pass the current default(HTML5)validation at W3C. For example, just removing border=”0″ in the paypal-pay-buy-cart-buttons.php file will remove a lot of validation errors. Some commonly used older coding is no longer required for HTML5 validation and will, in fact, now cause validation errors. Note that the pages at blog.tivel.org with the corrected code validates at W3C with this simple change. Personally, I like all of my WordPress pages to validate “in the green” at W3C for HTML5 compliance. I really don’t see why all older plugins can’t be brought up to date to more closely conform to the current W3C validation standard. The good news, though,is that modern browsers are pretty good at rendering older code without difficulty.
