So w3 total cache already offers me ability to use cloudfront over s3 and to copy my files into s3 bucket.

So why exactly would I need Offload Media plugin?

I am really interested because many people use it. Isn’t what I have with w3 total cache ALREADY offload?

It is very reasonable to expect that it may take longer than 15 hours to receive a reply to a general question about a free plugin on a Sunday.

Unfortunately we have no knowledge of what W3 Total Cache offers in relation to S3/CloudFront, so we can’t comment.

All we can suggest is that you check out our site to see whether WP Offload Media fits the bill for you.

WP Offload Media has great support for S3 and CloudFront, including the ability to use signed CloudFront URLs for when you want to serve things like secured downloadable purchases as quickly as possible from a custom domain.

W3TC offers uploading images to S3 with the intent of using s3+cloudfront as an accelerator. I think that W3TC leaves the file on your server.

My understanding is that WP OffloadMedia’s goal is not only to upload to the cloud, but has also an option to remove files from the server to keep your install as small as possible. There are also tons of options to manage the files from/to the two storage system.

I’d recommend to do your research and test.

Other important thing: W3 cache don′t work with custom s3 buckets paths
