W3 Total Cache: Trying to understand "Self-Hosted" FTP CDN
-
So i believe that i have successfully setup w3 total cache with the CDN set to “Self-Hosted” over ftp. The reason i THINK it’s setup correctly is because when i use the “Upload New Media” or “Add new media files from your computer” default WordPress file uploader, the files DO show up on the ftp server that i setup for w3 total cache…
BUT, the files ALSO show up in my default WordPress uploads folder that is set in the “Media Settings” page under “Uploading Files”.
So here’s the question… is this SUPPOSED to happen? I THOUGHT that if i used the CDN feature in w3 total cache that the files would ONLY be uploaded to the CDN… not BOTH the CDN AND my WP server.
Maybe i’m trying to use this feature in a way that it was never intended to be used?
