• I’m experimenting with running several blogs from the same directory structure using a custom if statement in the wp-config to select the correct database by domain. If I can get this to work it makes managing multiple domains\updates etc. alot easier.

The only problem I have found is that w3 total cache stores it’s settings in a file rather than in the database. Most of the settings are universal so this shouldn’t be a problem, however the one that stands out to me is the cloudflare domain. Firstly what the significance of this been wrong?

Also would it be possible to bodge the settings file to simply return the current domain, hence bypassing the problem? I am aware that everytime you change a setting in w3 total cache you will probably need to update the settings file again ??

It’s more performant to use settings files instead of the database. The root blog in a network will have it’s settings copied automatically as the defaults to other sites later activated in the network.
