• I made a video website about 4 days ago and I have a problem with W3 Total Cache…. The ‘views’ on the videos I post don’t change when I activate the “Page Cache”, I’ve tried all types of setting within the “Page Cache” (even disabling all settings WITHIN Page Cache) and I still have the problem. When I completely disable the Page Cache, my view counts work back to normal and increase accordingly. This is a huge problem for me because when the Page Cache is enabled my website speed is superb! Is there any way around this? Thanks in advance!!

    Anyone?

It’s probably normal, because with page cache on, the video is not retrieved the “normal” way (by requesting it directly from the server), but retrieved from the cache.

It’s likely that a count will only be added if a video is retrieved “normally”.

I don’t know the detailed ins and outs (also because I don’t know how you host the videos and count the views), but it looks like you may have to choose between speed on one hand or actual play counts on the other.

Thanks for the reply! is there a way to by-pass the Page Cache from caching one thing? Maybe a code or some thing?
