W3 Total Cache Error

  • I got this error on W3TC: “W3 Total Cache error: It appears Page Cache URL rewriting is not working. Please verify that the server configuration allows .htaccess
    Unfortunately disk enhanced page caching will not function without custom rewrite rules. Please ask your server administrator for assistance. Also refer to the install page for the rules for your server.

    Is this error a critical issue or can it just be ignored? I have cloudflare to cache my site so I don’t know if this w3tc setting is needed or not to help increase page load times.

    If this error is important to fix, how can I fix it?
