W3 Total Cache Crashed my website
-
Hi!
I’ve been using W3 Total Cache for a few months with no issues.
A few days ago, I went to update the pictures on my website (www.dipgrips.com) and noticed that the homepage wasn’t updating. I looked up how to fix the issue and it seemed like many people were having similar issues with this particular plugin.
I changed some of the settings to make the plugin clear the cache faster (I know I made a mistake here). Then, my website stopped working all together. I still have access to my admin panel, but I cannot reach my website on desktop or mobile.
I’ve since uninstalled the plugin only to find that it is very invasive and has written code all in my data files. After looking up how to restore my website, I followed the instructions on this page:
https://www.kentooz.com/remove-w3-total-cache-manually/Removed all the things the article asked me to and my website will still not come up.
I am at a loss and have no idea how to get my website back. Even called my hosting company Bluehost to help. They tried to restore my site to a different point in time to no avail.
Desperate for any and all advice/help!
Thanks in advance for your time! Hopefully, someone has encountered this before and has a solution!
