    Good Day,

I am running W3TC version 2.2.4, PHP version 8.1.9, WordPress 6.0.2 and W3TC CDN Origin Pull/ Amazon Cloudfront fails to create distribution, as well as, fail to Test Cloudfront distribution.

    Result: Test failed.

Also when activated, the wordpress media library fails to delete any media currently available.

I was able to downgrade to W3TC version 2.1.2, and this worked to create and test the cloudfront distribution. Upgrade it after and the wordpress site continued to use the CDN but still is unable to give a successful test or allow me to delete from the media library.

This may be a php version issue with the plugin.
    Can this be addressed soon?

    Thanks.

    Hello @crazyd1st

I am sorry about the issue you are experiencing and I am happy to assist you with this.
Can you please share more details about the issue you are experiencing?
Are you trying to create a bucket via the plugin or have you created the distribution in the AWS console?

Also when activated, the WordPress media library fails to delete any media currently available.

Can you please clarify this? Are you trying to manually delete any images from the Media library?

I was able to downgrade to W3TC version 2.1.2, and this worked to create and test the CloudFront distribution. Upgrade it after and the WordPress site continued to use the CDN but still is unable to give a successful test or allow me to delete it from the media library.

Just to clarify here also, you downgraded to W3TC version 2.1.2 and you were able to create the distribution and the test passed?
What do you mean by “unable to give a successful test” if the test for the distribution?

    Thanks!

    Hi Marko,

Thank you for your quick response.

    1. I am using Origin Pull / Amazon Cloudfront. I am not trying to create a bucket, I am
just trying to create a distribution by clicking the ‘Create distribution’ button on
wordpress W3tc (version 2.2.4) CDN settings. This continues to fail even after
ensuring that I have the correct Access key ID and Secret key.

    2. With respect to the media library, when I navigate to the media tab on wordpress and
I try to manually delete an image, it fails to delete and throws the error: ‘Error
in deleting the attachment.’ This is when the W3tc plugin is activated and the CDN
    fails to set up correctly.

    3. Yes I was able to downgrade to W3tc version 2.1.2 and I was successful in creating
the distribution and the test passed.

    4. What I mean by “unable to give a successful test”: After downgrading w3tc to 2.1.2
and set up the CDN successfully, I decided to upgrade to latest version 2.2.4. After
doing this, I noticed the CDN continued to work, files were continuing to be served
from the CDN. However, when I navigate to the CDN setting in w3tc and click ‘Test
CloudFront distribution’ , the test failed.

Also media in the media library fails to be deleted. If I disable w3tc plugin, I can
    then delete images/media successfully.

    Thank you for your time.

    Hello @crazyd1st

    Thank you for your feedback.
Can you please try replacing the existing wp-content/plugins/w3-total-cache/Cdn_Plugin.php with the one you can download from here and let me know if the problem persists with the Test CloudFront distribution?
Are you trying to delete the images that are uploaded to the CDN?

    Thanks!

    Hi Marko,

I replaced the above file mentioned and tested the below:

    1. ‘Test CloudFront Distribution’ Button, same result: “Test Failed”

    2. Tried deleted a media file, same error: “Error
    in deleting the attachment.”

    Regards.

    Hi Marko,

    Any update on this?

    Thanks.

    Hi Marko,

Found the issue, the Ultimate member plugin seems to have a conflict with W3 total cache which causes the above issues mentioned above. Once disabled the W3 total cache plugin works normally.

    Regards.

    Hi Marko,

An update on this, its not the Utimate member plugin but rather the metform pro plugin which causes this conflict.

    Regards.

    Hi Marko,

Temporary fix, remove the conflicting plugin.

    Regards.
