W3 Total Cache breaks the contact form

    It has come to my attention that, at some point in the last few months, W3TC and the contact form plugin started to conflict.

    Whenever W3TC is active and cached pages are being served, the contact form plugin does not respond. By that, I mean that there is no response of any kind upon clicking the submit button. This is the case regardless of whether AJAX submission is activated.

    When I say “and cached pages are being served”, I mean that it works fine when I am logged in as an admin (cached pages are not served to admin users) or immediately after I have purged the cache. Needless to say, deactivating W3TC also causes the contact form to begin working again.

    Are you aware of any particular setting that might be changed in order to prevent this problem?

    I rebuilt the relevant website and changed around quite a few settings, and the problem seems to have resolved itself along the way. Maybe it was just a JS conflict of some kind. Thanks anyway!
