    Thanks Daniel Kanchev, useful information.

Still there are some issues in W3TC on 7.0.8, I hope very soon the author will release an update.

Plugin author not manifest Internet activity for over a year. Actually I doubt that the update for this plugin will be released at least some time.

p.s.: WPMU DEV, Did you try to advertise themselves as something different?

    Hello kysil

Nope, WPMU DEV is not advertising anything. Personally I use this plugin in some of my sites, so love to roam in different threads to help people where I can. In addition, WPMU DEV officially contributes some of their time in wp.org forum.

I don’t have any connection with Frederick, but what I have recently saw an article where he mentioned that the plugin is not abandoned and he will be working on that: https://wptavern.com/frederick-townes-confirms-w3-total-cache-is-not-abandoned

I just want to see this plugin alive ??

    Have a good day!

    Cheers

    Hello Ash!

    Thanks for the info!

    Good luck!

Thanks for the link to the compatibility checker! I’m in the process of migrating a WordPress blog from Hostgator to another hosting service and found W3 Total Cache was causing crashes when run with PHP 5.5. ?? I do realize PHP 5.5 is obsolete but I think I received a message indicating W3 Total Cache wasn’t compatible with PHP versions later then 5.4.x.

In any event, I’ll scope out moving to PHP 5.6, if not PHP 7 on the new hosting service.

The compatibility checker has shown give me some great info to consider! ??

    Thanks!

    Peace…

    Tom
