• I’ve had to remove this plugin from several of my websites because it has apparently become a magnet for malware. At least once a week, my virus scanners have discovered infected files within the plugin’s folder.

(This is on multiple websites, different hosting companies, and it ONLY seems to be this plugin getting infected. That’s why I’m mentioning it here. It’s more than just a random occurrence.)

I recommend NOT using this plugin until the developer updates it to be more secure and ‘current’ with the latest version of WP.

    updated ??

This release is malicious. The 1.2.1 replaces version 1.2 of Insert HTML Code Snippet with a modified version 1.2 of Insert PHP Code Snippet.

    Do not install this.

One of the malicious files has a SHA256 of 54a33bc765e1975884ee6cd6dde4fa906387fcb88eb9a62b394018f9dcb494bc.

    Hello
    There is no malware here.
The plugin does not do anything without asking user.

The other user (@Whatausername) is correct. We tried using this on a client’s website, and I’ve had to remove malware TWICE in the last few days. I don’t have time to keep doing this, so I am removing the plugin completely.

Again, I recommend not using this plugin until this issue is permanently fixed.
