Vulnerability Issue

I received a critical vulnerability notification for the AR Member plugin. Is this something that will be fixed with new update and when? For now my only option would be to deactivate and delete plugin.

“Reflected cross site scripting. The ARMember plugin for WordPress is vulnerable to Reflected Cross-Site Scripting parameter in versions up to, and including, 4.0 due to insufficient input sanitization and output escaping. This makes it possible for unauthenticated attackers to inject arbitrary web scripts in pages that will execute whenever a user accesses an injected page.”
