    Hi there,

Most of my woocommerce media images are in webp format. I dont use so much JPG or PNG images because they take more space in cPanel.

VPI doesn’t recognice these webp images at all when I activate Viewport Images & Viewport Images Cron. It recognizes JPG and PNG images tho.

    Best Regards,

wait , you directly upload the webp images , right ? instead of uploading jpg/png images and let our plugin to generate webp ?

    Thread Starter tuomonurkkala

    (@tuomonurkkala)

Yes that is true, because it takes less space in the hosting server.

If I download jpg or png then it will add webp images as well. Then there are “duplicate” images in the server without any good reason.

Is is possible to have these webp images transferred to QUIC.cloud so the images would work there as of an imagebank?

    Plugin Support qtwrk

    (@qtwrk)

no really , QC is a CDN service , it doesn’t work like image bank in that sense.

Is it possible to make QUIC.cloud as of an image bank so the website pages would load faster? Or do you know any plugin that would do the image banking?

once the page has been loaded through QC CDN, the CDN will cache its resources, that include the images for certain amount of time, that’s what CDN does

    Thread Starter tuomonurkkala

    (@tuomonurkkala)

Okay, does it include the webp image formats that I have directly uploaded to wordpress / server?

    (@qtwrk)

    yes it does
