• Hi

I’m running a competition where I upload a number of photos and people must then vote for their favourite photo.

I am using widgets to upload photos – then directly below the photo I first added the shortcode [ratingwidget post_id=123]. Each photo had a different ID (which I selected) but when I vote on one picture, all the pictures get an additional vote.

I then added the shortcode [ratingwidget_raw id=”02″ title=”katalea”] – where the title and id are my own custom. Now I just have funny little icons on the page.

    Please assist
    thanks

  • Hi @thedigiscrapper,

That’s weird, it should work if you have specified different raw id for every rating in your page.

I suggest to contact our support via?https://rating-widget.com/contact/, and provide us with a temporary admin access so our support team can check what’s going wrong.

    Hi Bryan

    Thanks for your response.

I think I’ve solved the problem: – I installed an earlier version of the plugin AND I found out that if I set the voting frequency to anything other than ‘once’ then the funny icons appear.

However, is there a way that I can disable the “we recommend” pop-up.

    Thanks

    Hi @thedigiscrapper,

If you want to remove the recommendations that can be seen in the statistics of votes.
You can use our hideRecommendations attribute.

You can find it under your WP management dashboard -> RatingWidget -> Settings.
Scroll to the bottom-most part of the page.
    You can delete everything inside the text box and just leave options.hideRecommendations = true;
Don’t forget to tick Activate and Save.
