Volume wraps around on WP stock MP3 Player

  • When using the stock WP MP3 player, if the file being played is longer than one hour, the volume slider, which is normally to the right side of the player, wraps down to the next line when the play button is pressed. It only began doing this during the last couple of WP updates. Trying to adjust player width has no affect.

    There are several. One is entitled Life of David – David Perseveres as King. Here is a link directly to the sermon. It does it there as well. Any audio that is over one hour. It appears that the additional characters in the time force the volume slider off the container and to the next line. As you can see with our layout, there is a download link that is partially obscured by it. If one had a white background below the audio, they would not know that it had wrapped to the next line.

    They all appear to be perfectly fine when I view your pages, what browser (and version) are you currently using (you can visit https://www.whatsmybrowser.org/ to get this information) ?

    You also mentioned the past few updates, it sounds like you might not be on a beta release of WordPress at this time?

    It should be noted that mediaElement.js, the files used to handle the audio player, has been updated in WordPress 4.6 (the release candidate for it is out now)

    I have tried 3 different browsers.

    The problem exists in Chrome 51 and Internet Explorer 11. It seems to work correctly in Firefox 10.

    I am not on a WordPress beta. We are using 4.5.3. Perhaps the problem is fixed in 4.6?

    Then you’re in the wrong section. This is the alpha/beta test forum for WP ?? I’m moving this out, as it’s not a bug in WP 4.6!

    I’d bet it’s your theme if anything.
