    Hello

    If I read correctly, the chatbot can now receive voice commands, so there is no need to type. Is this possible? Additionally, the chatbot could respond with voice as well. I was thinking of some kind of text-to-speech functionality.

    Hi,

    Whisper API is only about speech-to-text right now, so it is a bit limited. Also, it will slow the usage of the chatbot a lot; all those requests and processing added to each other will definitely decrease the user experience, and increase your cost. It would be a toy to add this right now ?? I don’t think that’s what anybody wants. Moreover, speech-to-text and text-to-speech are more or less handles by OS natively, and it will be more and more, so soon yeah, we’ll be able to to this natively with no cost. Much better, and free ?? I still might add this feature for “fun” but I doubt anybody would keep it enabled.
